New Fridge

Last year we installed the dishwasher over Fourth of July weekend.

NEW!

This year, it was time for a new fridge!

OLD

We had been putting it off, but two weeks ago it got VERY loud.

Luckily it was like a little warning- I was able to get everything out of the freezer, into our chest freezer in the basement.  We brought the dorm room fridge into the house from out in the barn.

I was secretly happy that we could get rid of the old icky fridge that was here when we moved in!

We both wanted it to be stainless steel (like in our old house)
My requirement was that I wanted the freezer on bottom and french doors on top. Mike needed it to be counter-depth so it won't stick out too far when it's eventually installed in the new kitchen.

After researching in Consumer Reports, etc.  we selected an LG, ordered it and waited... it was a week until they could deliver it.

So, it has arrived, Mike hooked up the water line and I am SO happy with it.
Loving the little things- like the ice maker & water in the door.
Also it's amazing how loud the old one was, and how silent this one is!  The energy efficiency has GOT to be much better too (I'm actually eager to see the electric bill next month!)
That little corner of the kitchen is hugely improved by this!
