Bathroom Timeline

Mike said we would have the bathroom done by the end of the summer.  I thought that was way too long to wait, so decided to map out the "To Do List" with the time we'll have available to work on it (after work & on weekends around the kids' activities).

And the ending date is... October 1- Booo!!!!
And that's if everything goes smoothly (which it NEVER does!)

So with our expectations adjusted, here's the To Do List on a timeline, to keep us on track.
We gave a little bit of cushion- knowing that we have to figure some of this out by trial & error.
Hopefully there will be some overlap and we've allotted enough time!

We're doing pretty well so far (Knock on wood!)

By July 15th:
Purchase wainscoting, drywall & wall board Complete!
Purchase sink/vanity & toilet Complete!
Purchase new light/fan, white outlets & switches Complete!
Run electric from basement to attic (prep for finishing attic rooms) Complete!
Secure pex & wire to inside foyer wall (had run out of brackets) Complete!
Complete PVC caps on old pipes in basement Complete!
Finish stack in the foyer & insulate heating pipes
Connect electric to fan/light
Complete install of vent pipe in bathroom & attic

By July 22nd:
Purchase shower/tub fixtures, shower curtain rod Complete!
Tar paper & waterproof shower/tub Complete!

Waterproofing & wall board installed
ahead of schedule!

Install wall board to shower/tub Complete!
Install new outlets & light switches Complete!
Rip out old vinyl floor
Level joists
Install new sub-floor
Install drywall to walls

By August 5th:
Purchase tile
Purchase sink fixtures
Purchase molding pieces
Tape joints
Spackle & sand

By August 12th:
Purchase wood flooring
Install tile around shower/tub
Install shower/tub fixtures

By September 2nd:
Paint wainscoting pieces
Install wood floor
Install door & window molding
Install wainscoting
Install toe moldings

By September 9th:
Paint walls & moldings
Install shower curtain rod

By September 23rd:
Purchase Mirror
Install vanity
Install sink & tub fixtures
Install toilet
Install light fixtures
Install face plates

By October 1st:
Install drywall to foyer ceiling & walls
Finishing touches & decorating in bathroom
