Kitchen Paint

While we were waiting on the floor guy, we decided to go ahead and paint the walls of the kitchen.  We were hosting Thanksgiving this year, so there was SO much we needed to get done and we were running out of time!
With the gray cabinets, I wanted to go with a bold color for the walls.  We decided on yellow!  I pulled the color from a flower print that we had purchased on our honeymoon.

The boot print on the right was taken after an Easter Egg hunt a few years ago... it will also look good with the yellow :)

The light fixture for over the table really pops now!

Here's the section of exposed rock near the back door-
it was a little tricky to paint the edges!

I always liked the warm feeling from yellow on the walls- we had it in the kids' nursery in the old house.
