Mirror, Mirror- on the wall!

A little progress in the master bathroom... The electrician asked us to hang the mirror so that he can be sure to get the sconces hung in the proper places.

Sink is still not in... definitely not happy with the plumber.

But, it makes me happy to see this starting to come together!

Master Bedroom- sheetrock

After the water damage, and ripping down the ceiling, and then adding some framing for the new sheet rock, they've finally gotten started on sheetrocking the master bedroom ceiling!

Heating

As mentioned in the closet post, the plumbers showed up and started installing the heating...

They started on the downstairs sections as well.

I'm not crazy about the baseboard (water) heat, since the rest of the house is steam radiators.  But this is what they recommended and does seem to make sense for tying it into the rest of the system.

New look on an old vanity

I'm looking for more little projects to do, to keep my sanity during all this construction!

I started this one a while ago, but recently finished it up...

We bought this vanity from an estate sale near my childhood home.  It was in the guest room of our old house, until we had the kids... then it moved into the attic.  It was painted a cream color.

I'd like to use it in the master closet, as a little dressing table.  So, I went with a couple coats of silver paint, and dug the circular mirror out of the box in the attic.

I added some pretty lavender drawer liner...

I have to confess, I can't find the kidney shaped mirror for the top- I painted silver on the wood, but had planned on putting the mirror back on top.  I had it out in the workshop and put it "somewhere safe", but now can't remember where!  I'm sure I'll come across it sooner or later (either that, or one of the boys broke it and haven't 'fessed up yet!)

It's been stacked with the rest of our bedroom furniture in one of the kids' rooms...

But we're about ready to move it into the master closet!  Photos of that soon!

The kitchen light fixtures have been installed!  I'm loving them!
